About Zion

Zion Foodtrucks is a food truck and trailer builder based in Colorado. We design and fabricate custom mobile kitchens from the ground up — chassis to countertop — at our own shop with our own team. No subcontractors, no outsourced welding, no generic catalog builds.

We also outfit existing vehicles and handle repairs on both the vehicle and kitchen side. If it rolls and serves food, we can build it, outfit it, or fix it. Our customers include first-time operators launching their first truck, multi-unit operators expanding their fleet, and event companies outfitting concession trailers.

Every project goes through the same process: we talk through your menu and business model, design the layout, and build it. You get progress updates throughout and a finished unit that is ready to pass inspection and start serving.

Our Build Process

How a Custom Build Works

From first call to finished keys-in-hand unit, here is how we take your project from idea to road-ready.

Design & Layout

We start with your menu, your service style, and your budget. From there we design your kitchen layout using CAD software — equipment placement, workflow, serving windows, storage, and utility routing. You approve the design before any fabrication starts.

Review & Approve

For full custom builds, we can mock up the interior with cardboard props so you can physically stand in the space and test the workflow before we cut metal. Changes are easy at this stage and free — not so much after welding.

Build & Deliver

Once the design is locked, fabrication begins. Your dedicated project manager sends you regular photo and video updates as the build progresses. When it is done, we walk you through every system before you drive it off the lot.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Common questions about working with Zion Foodtrucks.

Most custom food truck and trailer builds take 6–8 weeks from design approval to delivery. Timeline depends on the complexity of the build, equipment lead times, and any custom fabrication involved. We give you a schedule estimate before starting and keep you updated throughout.
Yes — a large portion of our customers are launching their first food truck or trailer. We walk you through the entire process: layout design, equipment selection, health department requirements, and what to expect during the build. You do not need to show up with a blueprint. Just bring your menu and your budget, and we will figure out the rest together.
Every unit we build is designed to meet Colorado health department requirements for commercial food service vehicles. That includes sink count and placement, water system capacity, ventilation, fire suppression, and approved surface materials. We work with you through the permitting process and make sure the build is compliant before delivery.
